BRITISH MUSLIM FILMS

GET YOUR WORK ON NATIONAL TV

We're launching a brand new TV show in 2016, The Film Makers, specifically to showcase the best in independent film-making — and we're looking for short films made by, for or about British Muslims.

Any genre is acceptable, although the film's content should be suitable for TV broadcast before the 9pm watershed, and accessible to an English-language audience. Total running time should be no more than 11 minutes.

As well as having your film screened on national TV, The Film Makers also gives you the chance to come on the show and promote yourself and your work to other directors, producers, cast and crew, and audiences across the country and abroad. We're particularly interested in projects that have behind-the-scenes or other bonus material, as well as just the finished film itself.

For more information or to nominate your film, contact us at talent@britishmuslim.tv, with "The Film Makers:" and the title of your film as your subject line.

LOCATION MANAGER Posted October 2015

Our location requirements are modest, but our budget is minimal. We're looking for someone to work with our Wakefield-based production team, to

·  source potential options for all the locations in the script for the director's consideration,

·  confirm the locations he selects,

·  co-ordinate with the Production Manager regarding scheduling, and then

·  manage locations during principal photography.

The role would suit someone with a proven track record in Location or Production departments; a good knowledge of a range of locations across the North of England in particular would obviously be an advantage.

This role is paid in excess of National Minimum Wage, and relevant expenses will be covered. (London-based applicants should bear in mind that the project is Yorkshire-based, and that accommodation or long-distance commuting expenses will not be reimbursed.)

All applications by Sunday 1st November, please.

ART DIRECTOR Posted October 2015

We're looking for someone to work with our Wakefield-based production team, to

·  produce a script breakdown for props and set dressing,

·  source potential options for the director's consideration,

·  borrow/hire/buy all selected items, then

·  handle set-dressing and props management during principal photography, and

·  return/dispose of all items appropriately after the end of production.

The role would suit someone with a track record either as Designer/Art Director, or an Assistant (with feature film experience) ready to step up. Depending on the script breakdown, we expect the Art Director to need one or two Art Department Assistants; if you have people you'd like to work with we're happy to consider your recommendations.

This role is paid in excess of National Minimum Wage, and relevant expenses will be covered. (London-based applicants should bear in mind that the project is Yorkshire-based, and that accommodation or long-distance commuting expenses will not be reimbursed.)

All applications by Sunday 15th November, please.
